1 Year (and a bit), Valve Index
Ordinarily, I wouldn't contemplate them... but these are extraordinary times.
Over a year has past since I got the Valve Index and according to my multiple Steam accounts I am up ~1200 hours in SteamVR.
The (Updated) Mini Review!
The Valve Index (more importantly) SteamVR Tracking has been a treat and I am still happy about my purchases, I bought 3x Vive 3.0 trackers and made my own 2 SteamVR supported trackers out of Microcontroller with SlimeVR and also one with sensors, I also had to RMA one of my base stations.
The Warranty
Even through my warranty ended, I still managed to get an advanced RMA on a Base Station a month after it “ended”, which was a suprise.
Tinkering with SteamVR and tracking devices
I have made my own trackers in 2 ways, One using SlimeVR and its documentation and the other using “TS4112 Single-Chip SteamVR Tracking Sensor's” that you can literally just buy from Triad Semiconductor (Steam's ASIC partner), The Steam partner portal has a lot of documentation on creating your own trackers and it's very simple to sign up for a license, Check it out yourself if you can.
